I was checking some small texts my ninth graders wrote...
- I like playing games and spinning pens. Pen spinning is difficult.
- So during summer vacation I'm going to study hard. I will become clever after summer vacation.
- I like to study math very much. And I like "pi" [symbol inserted]. I remember it. It's 3,1415926535897932384626433832195... But it isn't all. I want to be a normal person.
But the first funny episode was when a student approached me and said how do you spell"cock"? I wanted to laugh, but I know he meant "cook". A common mistake here, as chefs in Japan are referred to as cock-san.
Gotta love these kids!
