Things I forgot

I forgot a few details about my trip to Portugal. Small things that I, myself, want to keep forever...

One of the days that I went to visit my father at the hospital, I took a taxi from Damaia train station. I told the man I wanted to go to the hospital and he asked me if I had someone from my family there... From this question, I learned that the man had worked in the US for 10 years and that he had been around the entire country driving trucks. And that he spoke, naturally, English, but also French and Arabic. I found it amazing. Plus, he was very open minded concerning emigrants and all. And I am referring this specifically, because many middle aged men in Portugal have issues with emigrants in Portugal... I was gladly surprised with that trip!

And something else very interesting happened: when the plane landed in Heathrow, coming from Lisbon, people clapped their hands! I was surprised, as it wasn't any weird landing (unlike the one Peter and I had in Tioman Island). But the last time anything like it had happened in my life, was on the first time I took a plane, with my gang to Tunisia! Good times, with Mari squeezing my hand until it had no blood!
